I am 61 and was diagnosed with asthma 13 years ago. I have had the odd bouts of server chest infections with steroids to clear them.

Last month I under went 3 weeks of radiotherapy on my right boon. After a few days I found I needed to use my inhaler especially before treatment. After treatment I had to visit my GO since chest felt tight, he gave blue inhaler and advised to take 4 times a day. I returned to GO yesterday saw someone different they confirmed my chest was tight all over and give me steroid tablets to take for 4 days and an inhaler to take twice a day when finished, she also prescribed antibiotics.
