Not having a great time at the moment. Just wanted to share. Just got back from GP who gave me a neb so things aren't too bad right this moment (although I now have the ventolin shakes big style!). PF's have been pants for some weeks and this morning I stood at 52% after a very bad night. Went to GP to ask if they would add in something else......firmly told no! They were concerned and gently suggested A+E given my brittle history but agreed after the neb as my PF went up appreciably that I could stay out but taking great care! Just spoke to my respiratory nurse over the phone who also said no they can't add in anything else from GP's end. She gave me some good advice and was most reassuring and reiterated to be careful and come in earlier rather than later if the PF starts to drop towards 50%.
But I am fed up..........and exhausted - why is breathing such flipping hard work?!
Wish someone could do something to just take asthma away.
Breathing does seem to be hard work doesnt it! It is really annoying. I am on all meds i can be at the moment and have been told to sit on it. Basically just accept this is how it will be for a while. I do love how medical people can say this when they are not living with it. I wish there was a way of showing them exactly what it is like! I have been wide awake and restless since 4am this morning. Was not impressed to say the least and the shakes are annoying! It takes double the effort to do anything from simple things like making a drink to just typying an email.
People do not realise how vital breathing is till they hit problems with it. Just replying to let you know you are not alone.

P.S No one panic i am following strict medical advice my medical team are aware i am like this.
Thanks Plumie
Sorry things still aren't good for you - hope things start to improve soon. I'm really ticked off because I can see little green men looming on the horizon if things don't start to improve and I don't want to go in (she said petulantly......stamping her foot on the floor.....or she would if she had the energy!).
Your welcome feejay!
I just spoke to my resp nurse and she said just accept how i am! Accept how i am?! Grr i hate it when they say that. She said just continue with what you can do and make the most of the sunshine.
Typical! Her advice was do not worry about what you cannot do, just plod on with what you can do!
I love how easy they can say this, they are not living with it!
Feel free to pm me or chat on this thread i am not doing much.
