Asthma treament

Hi I have bad asthma and I am on xolair I have 3 injections every month does anyone else get these

Hi Trek,

I have been on 4x Xolair injections every month for 3 1/2 years it has helped me a lot. The first thing was I stopped having 3x daily nebulisers and I stopped taking phylocontin tablets.

I have not had as many exacerbations and hospital admissions. I am still on salbutamol, Ciclesonide, Formoterol, Tiotropium inhalers and Montelukast tablets.

Hi, my student son has 2 injection every month. They turned his life around. He still is on maximum medication including Aminophylline but he is able to go to university and does some sport.

I'm on xolair too - 3 injections every four weeks

It has changed my life - still get chest infections about twice a year but before I would be in resus and hosp for a week and the cycle could go on. Now I tend only to spend a day or night in hosp on nebs - go home with antibiotics and recover within a couple of weeks.

I was on them for 2years they took me off them for 3 months. To see if I was ok without them my asthma has become so bad I take every inhaler I have and my husbands my life is 0 as I am breathless and my chest wezers all the time I was good on xolair going back to hospital in a few weeks hope I can get back on it. Fingers crossed

It's hard to know though if it's still doing a job when you can't seem to see it changing anymore. It was great going on it first and being able to do things but a year and a half onwards I'm like why am I still doing this. I feel like I'll be on it for a lifetime. I have the max dose woo! 4 injections every 2 weeks. Which kinda sucks but it did/is doing it's job.
