Salamol releiver issues.

Hi guys! I dont suffer from bery bad asthma thankfully but I do get weezy every now and then. Maybe once a month or sometimes less, Rarely more. Recently I have found my 'Salamol cfc free' inhalers seems to lose the 'gas' very quickly and it is becoming very frustrating! Its been happening to my pumps the last year or two, I get only a couple of proper 'puffs' maybe about 8-10 and it seems the gas that propels the medicine runs out! I happened to a new one that ive only used 4 times, And I can shake it and feel the canister is actually full but when I press its almost silent, Ending with a short inhale from the can! Very wierd and ultra frustrating as today is a day I actually need a puff. Only when I erraticaly pump a good few times it releases a little medicine to alleviate my weezing. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Hi, have you tried cleaning the plastic mouth piece or/and taking the canister out of the plastic holder shaking it and then putting it back? I find that helps when the spray gets reduced.

Hi,

I now prefer the Ventolin Accuhaler which is gas free. You suck the powder out of the machine so when your breathing is bad you don't have to get the timing right, and it's a double dose so one suck is 2 puffs.

Ask for IVAX Salamol Easi-Breathe. It has 200 metered doses.

There isn't a counter on it (those things must cost a fortune) but tastes a bit odd when it's running out. The leaflet recommends washing (it!) once per week and if not used for a while to take the top off and release a dose manually.

Otherwise it's all done for you!

(My Qvar comes in a matching format but no washing. No-one I've asked

knows why.)
