I wondered if anyone could reccomend a good company to use to get some holiday insurance. I have severe asthma and allergies including an epi pen.

Thank you

Hello Laura and welcome to the forum!

First of all, there is plenty of information available on the main Asthma UK website and the forum.

If you search you will find several posts in recent months about travel insurance.

Generally with any medical conditions it can often be better going to specialist insurance companies.

If you have a bank account that includes travel insurance it may be worth trying them too.

Hi Laura

I tried several specialist companies but in the end my 'bank' covered my son, we did have to make a claim and they were brilliant.

Hope you get sorted soon.

Clare

sorry no advice but I'm also looking for travel insurence to cover Asthma and Anaphylaxis

so if i have any luck will let you know! Who wold have thought it would be so difficult.

I just did a medical screening for one, cant remember who with and it stated no hospital admissions EVER! eh? won't be using them then!

Most require 2 or less inhalers and no hospital admissions in the past year.

Hiya, I have terrible trouble getting holiday insurance and am refused by most due to multiple conditions which they consider high risk. The company which would insure me was 'Allclear' and I ended up in hospital three times during our 10 days abroad - they were fab and also had interpreters. They specialise in insuring folk with pre existing conditions - obviously its vital you declare them or you wont be covered in the event of things going wrong.
