Following diagnosis of adult onset asthma after some nasty diagnostic alternatives i was prescribed serevent accuhaler and a reliever inhaler. Nothing else. I read that i should only be prescribed this with a steroid. Can anyone advise. A visit to my gp would probably be unhelpful ! Steview

You definitely should have a steroid inhaler with it.

Is there another GP you can see or if not go back to the pharmacist and speak to him/her and they may be able to chase up a prescription.

do you have an asthma nurse at your gp's you could make an apppointment to see? worth a try
