Bonfire Night

Does anybody else hate this time of the year? All the smoke plays havoc with my lungs. Im sat having a neb cos i forgot to tape over a key hole and the hallway now smokey. Know my lungs are very sensitive at the moment but all this pollution really not helping. Only another 2 nights of burning. Wish there was a more environmentally friendly way to celebrate Guy Fawkes!?!

i hate it too!! I accidently left my window open when I went out this morning and now my bedroom is really smokey and horrible. Its making my chest all tight and yucky.

Hope you feel better

Em (Counting down the days til Bonfire Night's over!!)

xx

I'm going to attempt to go to my first display tomorrow in 5 years as my daughter is performing in the accompanying concert, figure as am heading back into hospital monday anyway is a good year to try but yes normally i hate it!

I've just been out on First Aid Duty for our local fireworks display/bonfire event. All went well, no customers, but now I'm home, I'm really quite wheezy - much more than I have been on bonfire night before. Just had some puffs of ventolin, but still feeling quite tight, even though my peak flow isn't that low.

Really annoying dry cough as well.

Nasty. So glad I'm not still out there.

Take care everyone xx

Curiously bonfire night never bothers me (famous last words),but someone smoking 2 floors above me will irritate the bejaysus out of my throat.

I hate it too - tonight is really bad, it looks almost foggy outside the smoke is so bad here! My boyfriend left for work earlier - and even the front door being opened for a few seconds made me quite wheezy!

Hope none of you are suffering too much with the bonfires/fireworks x

Not having a great night lungs still suffering from earlier smoke inhalation. Weather forecast is for fog, which not going to help the smoke to clear. Think i wont be venturing outside tomorrow. Will go into hibernation for the next few days. Oh well hope everybody elses lungs behave tonight.

seems worse than ever this year been out shopping and as soon as car came anywhere near bonfire smoke started coughing and as chest still grumpier than I would like am miffed that daren't risk a bonfire this year.

We've just got home, driving down the road there was so much smoke it looked foggy. We couldnt see very far because of all the smoke. I don't remember it ever being this bad before...

I did brave going to a small display last night and more or less managed to avoid the smoke. My main problem was dribing home at 10:30 PM from my sisters (28 miles) and there was so much smoke around all the way - my chest was really achey and tight.

(Just tidied up the rocket shrapnel from the garden, though I will use the stick as a plant support LOL!)

Oh and Mum pointed out the St John Amb Peeps lurking behind me! LOL - Suffolk bunch as I didn't recognise any of them.

My chest is really yucky too and although i love the fireworks. Just been to my mum's house wi kids to set some off but she lives on top of a hill with open space in front so dont get the smoke from everyone elses too much but where i live a few yards up the road its really bad.

It also seems to attract the kids that are hell bent on getting themselves injured or someone else too. As i was driving home, there were a gang of 4 lads settin off fireworks in the middle of the road and one went under my car. As you can imagine a 4 letter word sprang to mind as this thing came hurtling towards me wi my babies in the car so i stopped the car and the lads legged it!

No harm done this time but why do it?? Il never understand.

*shudders* Fireworks are pretty to look at but standing next to them is not.

Was at Granny's b'day party on Sunday night and They had a fireworks display. It was really windy and we were all standing outside in Big Wooly coats. Soo.. They start and next thing the smoke from Them just Is in My face. I swear, I have been trying to avoid that thing and I promptly hurried myself inside where I decided that 5 puffs of inhaler was called for. Still-They are verrry pretty to look at!
