Diagnosed at 17 been on becotide and intermittent ventolin ever since.
First serious asthma attack for 20 years last week, hospitalised for two days.
Am now off work, on steriod inhalers and tablets feel very weak... how long does this last? feeling shocked, scared and low!

It does normally take a lil bit of time... are the tablets your on prednisolone? because if you finish a short course of them and are not feeling back to your normal self then you probably need another few days so need to pop to your GP. Hopefully your preventer steroid inhaler will give you back your long term controll, so you won't be in this position again!
