Maris Piper

Mashing potato for tea, started coughing and throat felt it was closing up. Three puffs of Ventolin seemed to settle the cough. Hour on, dinner is bye but still my throat feels like there's something stuck there. Hasn't ever happened with any other potatoes.

Have I become allergic to Maris Piper? Anyone else had this?

My con says for an allergy to be confirmed you need to try the same product at three separate times and if you get same reaction then go and ask for a RAST test to the offending product.

Crossing fingers doesn't happen again but won't be worried if it does. Thanks for the info. I'd never heard of this type of allergy test, just the pinprick one.
