Hi everyone,
I am 28 years old and was diagnosed with Rhinitis in January at the hospital ENT clinic and Asthma in March, on going back to my GP after 5 weeks of continual coughing at the end of April they also say I have hayfever. I am on 2 inhalers (beclazone 100, and salamol, montelukast tablets, nasonex nasal spray and anti-histamines) I feel like a walking chemist! The anti-histamines seem to have calmed my cough which is great. I have had some bother with the beclazone with coughing when it hits the back of my throat and have been given an aero chamber to see if it helps some days its ok other days I still cough loads. I have no sense of smell which they say is due to the rhinitis. All these symptoms, coughing continual colds lack of smell have been going on since I was at high school and it has taken until now for something to be done about it.
Asthma runs in my mother's side of the family and I am now coming to terms with the possiblility of having to be on medication for the rest of my life. I found this site through the Asthma nurse at my GP surgery when I was given my peak flow diary which I still have to do daily, it had the web address on the back. its nice to have somewhere like this where other people are in similar situations.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post
