A friend has given me a salt pipe because she says she has heard it works wonders for asthma. I'm a bit dubious about it - has anybody used one and, if so, did it work?
Thanks.

I havent tried it yet, but I am curious. I cant see that it would do any harm. I live on the coast and whenever I have to go inland away from the salt air I struggle to breathe, which seems to be the same concept as this inhaler. Salt (or sodium) is known for healing qualities, when I was younger I used to have salt baths to heal my eczema. Good luck with it. xx
Cubi. Have started using the salt pipe and felt REALLY stupid sitting there sucking in air through a bit of pottery - thank heavens there's nobody around to see and laugh.
The thing is, my PF has crept up over 400 for the first time in 6 months and I haven't got a clue if it would have happened anyway or if the salt pipe should get the credit. This means that I'm stuck using the wretched thing unless and until it proves to me that it's not helping.
Yet another thing to carry around with me when I go away - I'll soon need a wheelbarrow for it all.
haha, i think i need to invest in a wheelbarrow for all the meds i have already, without trying a saltpipe lol
thats made me laugh, wheelbarrow! haha lol

Snowygirl, you've got way more meds to put in your wheelbarrow than I have, but I bet I take more junk - salt pipe, my book, small bag with peak flow meter & meds, my other book, my radio/alarm, my next book, my Kindle, spare pare of shoes, a few clothes and my I Pod. Oh, and a couple of books in case I run out.
