It's probably been on here before ,,,,,but I'll ask again ,,,,has anyone used a salt pipe ? And benefited from it ,,,,and I've quite a few on Amazon at varying prices ,,,,is it a case of you get what you pay for ,,,,,or are we just paying for the name ,,,,,they all seem to work in the same way so is there really any difference ,,,?

I have had salt pipe for ages but cant see that it has helped, still need my inhalers. I eventually gave up on it. But they say it helps so why not try it, see if it helps you.

It's pure woo and a waste of money. There's no proven efficacy.

I suppose anything is worth a try. Salt mines are meant to be beneficial to asthmatics too. My son went down one on an overseas school trip but didnt notice any improvement to his breathing at all.

I began using a salt pipe at the beginning of February this year. I noticed a difference immediately. My throat and nose no longer get congested. I don't cough much but when I do it's a more productive cough. Before salt pipe my cough was tight and weezy. I am very impressed with mine. I am 71 had asthma all my life and copd diagnosed 6 years ago. I still take my prescribed medication and would expect to need it. My salt pipe is an addition not a replacement. I recently had a spirometry which was fev 53% same as 6 years ago and fed 81% against 67% 6 years 'I will definitely keep using mine

Hi ,thanks Wizzer, that sounds more of a positive comment ,,,,I had a look on Amazon varying prices and comments but on the whole positive ,,,,I have asthma / Bronchiectis diagnosed back in 92 ,,,,,,in recovery at the moment from pneumonia and pleurisy,,,,,,I've been using a flutter devise ,,,helpful but tiring and time consuming,,,,think this might be something for me to try ,Thankyou ,

Hi Nanny1086 sorry to hear youre not well at the moment hope you soon feel better. I bought the only salt pipe I could buy locally. 14.99 small price to pay for my health. You've nothing to lose only the cost of the pipe. I would say give it a try it might help you as it has me.
