Tonights Lunar eclipse!

Being on night shift tonight would be an ideal time to have a look-totality co-inciding with my meal break-but wouldnt you know it,after 10 days of lovely clear skies,it has been cloudy all day and is likely to stay that way all night-BAH!!!

Hi Bluejam1878... It has been beautifully clear here in Orkney all day today...but clouding rapidly ... Earlier today I set my telescope and binoculars out in the garden house and even went to the bother of setting the alarm clock just in the off change that for once in my life I fell asleep before 4am... But like you I think I am going to be bitterly disappointed... Eclipse due at 3.20 am- 3.30am... so here is hoping that I too get a break in the clouds !!!

Would be nice to know if there any AUK members manage to get a good view of it... So here is keeping fingers crossed for you Bluejam and for me !!

Love, Hugs and Hopefully cloud busting kisses...

Will leave curtains slightly open and may wake up to see it.

Cloudy here in the South East of England.

I have no hope of staying awake, I have to be up for school in the morning. :P

It's clear up here in York so I may take a peak if the other students are keeping me awake again at 3am! Should be straight in front of my window at that time too.

Could not see Eclipse! Rained and Strong gusts all night... not much change as yet!

So hopefully there were a happy few that got to see the Lunar Eclipse last nigh... would be nice know if that was so !

Looks we all missed it-pity-the next one for the UK isnt until 2015 (and I dont mean quarter past 8 !!!).

Que Sera.

I fell asleep! Was still awake when it began and saw a little bit but then it clouded over and I finally fell asleep hehe. Never mind!

Bluejam1878 ... so it seems...No one got to see it ! quite a let down !

But today I have been enjoying Mayor Lightening Strikes, a beautiful, scary, powerful sight... one strike just 100m away from my house. Makes up for not being able to see Lunar Eclipse !!

Hale stones pounding my window panes now !!

Hope you are all well.

Love & Hugs
