Painful Flare

hello

I’ve been taking adalimumab ( Amgevita) for 18 months now with no rheumatoid arthritis issues in fact was quite good even my bad knee which is due to be replaced has been largely stable

But in the last four weeks or have developed an increasingly more painful painful flare.

I m tired all the time with pains in wrists, various fingers, balls of my feet , toes , hip and shoulders plus patches of dry skin on my face, lumps on my forehead; mouth ulcers. I can’t sit on a chair without a pillow and find it hard to move much. A classic flare.

Am a side sleeper and not getting much rest - my bad knee is now excruciating. Am taking ibuprofen for pain relief. This is the worst overall period I’ve had for pain in years. I had two back to back Covid infections recently and wonder if it’s thrown me off balance

I wonder if anyone else has had a long flare up whilst on biologic treatment and maybe does this mean the drug has failed

Am going to email my rheumatologist to see if I can get a steroid injection to get some relief.

Paul
