Having a really bad flare. Doctors said to ring rheumatologist. Left a message & had no call back. In so much pain today I just want to cry. Been diagnosed for over 20 years & never been in so much pain. My thumb feels like it’s going to pop due to swelling. Pain everywhere & don’t know what to do 😭

Have you increased the dose of steroids to see if that helps?

what do you ysually do when you have a flare? If that still doesn’t work I’d speak to your GP again explaining you have had no reply from rheumatology and either get them to call your rheumatologist ( mine have done this and got a response) or prescribe you something to help until they get back to you. Pester them because they can help 😊

You have my sympathy, you could try the Curable App. A GP gave me a free trial. Suggest you ask yours.

Try phoning again later or speak to your GP to get emergency drugs advice to tide you over. That's what I would do.

Im very familiar with Arthritis flare (PSA) its a monster at times …. I will usually wrap myself up in warm blanket and put heating pad next to me and take my Advil dual and keep at it until it lets up ….. weather changes cause my bones to feel broken then once the weather hits or moves on my pain lets up.
