I have recently been diagnosed with fairly severe osteoarthritis in my knee. Some research articles suggest infrared therapy may help with the pain. I am thinking of buying a lamp. Does anyone have any positive experience? Thanks.

Does infrared therapy help arthritis pain?
Hiya Supame3,Can't offer any comment except that I have been considering the same thing myself for osteoarthritis. Your post reminds me to do more research. My problem area is the AC Joint of my left shoulder.
I have a heart arrythmia so in terms of pain relief medication my choices are limited. My GP is arranging a referral to specialist physiotherapists for pain management and increasing mobility in the joint. I don't really want to take any more meds than I am on which includes Warfarin. If I come across anything I'll post on here.

Thank you. I will let you know how I get on. Sue
Hi, I bought one of these infra red lamps last year but have only used it a few times. I did find it helped when my knees were really bad so would recommend you try it. They are not that expensive, normally around £15 on offer and better than taking more medication which doesn't work on me. Mike.
