From various tests I know I have moderate to severe osteoarthritis in a number of my joints. However my GP feels something more is going on and referred me to see a rheumatologist. My R.A markers were normal. The first register I saw thought it may be fibromyalgia as I had 12 of the eighteen pain points. The second register said no and thought due to my family history it my be psoriatic arthritis. On my third visit I actually saw the consultant who gave the opinion that my chronic pain was all mechanical in nature. I think I have every test in the book C.T, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, plus everyblood test known...lol. I show some symptoms of a number of conditions but nothing conclusive. I just wonder what today's Doctor will say?

All the best,

The Consultant(A New One) stated she believes I have Chronic Pain Syndrome. I have been told it is a poorly understood condition. Obviously I will be doing some reading over the weekend. The main thing is the consultant as now referred me to a pain management program which if I have the same experience as my wife will be really helpful.
