Was keeping fit and running up to 5 km, then hip joint started hurting. Following physio advise. Today exercised and felt fine, then lots hip pain about 1700, could not relieve with stretching. Getting worse ( we are in heat wave UK) Realise at 2200 theres thick fog outside, time to shut the doors I think .

I was diagnosed in 2006 with osteoarthritis buy not told that I had it until last year. All these years I didn't know that I had it, I was weight training and doing martial arts. The strange thing is that when I was told last year that I had it I started to get pain etc. Is it all in my head?

I have it in my neck, I drink turmeric tea twice per day (you can add black pepper for better results) and now I rarely have any pain from it.

Exercise is good for it, but maybe you will have to choose another exercise to do.

Hi Lisa,

I had it bad in right knee.

Way back when (year 2000 roughly, aged 56) I was out walking dog along a riverbank, stumbled over rough ground and tore right knee cartilage. Had the remains removed and surgeon noted onset of osteo arthritis in right knee, while he was at it he tidied that up as well.

In 2015 I was diagnosed with full blown osteo in right knee - it was so bad I could hardly walk at all. Every time there was a weather change I felt it and could predict it about 2 days before the weather forecast. Damn near crippled and it ended up causing no end of problems with my right sacriliac joint as it had caused all my right side geometry to get out of alignment. I ended up having a partial knee replacement in right knee medial compartment. The brilliant surgeon also realigned right side geometry and now at nearly 74 I feel brilliant.

BUT - hey, you know what, I still feel the weather change coming on - but - no where near are severely as before.

Have you tried cbd oil I too have arthritis of the hip and was unable tgo running play football with the kid's . I started using it 2 months ago now and I've not had to take a single painkiller in that time and I'm back running 5km every week and beating the kids at football . I'm only on the lowest strength oil and only taking between 4 & 8/drop's when I have pain it has been a real game changer for me . if you have any questions to ask about cbd oil feel free to ask .
