Night splint for planters fasciitis

Well here goes nothing. Finally got a night splint for the planters fasciitis in my right foot. I picked it up this morning from the post office before going to work. I can feel it pulling the bottom of my foot where it hurts. Now as far as sleeping in this thing is another thing. I think it’ll be a challenge trying to sleep in it. If I get up during the night to go to the restroom or get something to drink I’m going to have to use the crutches with this on if I get up from what I’m finding out real quickly. I’ll put it’s very bulky but I think it’ll work to help my painin my foot. Here what it looks like while I have it on my big wide bare foot.

hi just thought I should let you know that you need to buy some fit flops for your feet. They sell them on Amazon and the fit flop site. They do men's shoes and sandals. These shoes are magic. I have had plantar fasciitis and these shoes helped enormously, the pf went away within a fortnight. I also had a very painful heel spur a few weeks ago and I wore my fitflops and in a week the pain had gone. They have a special wobble board, are not cheap but they are amazing. You do though need to wear them as much as possible for them to work. Luckily I wear fitflop mules all day as I don't work. Please get a pair, you won't be sorry.

We’re not allowed to ware open toe shoes to work do to safety reasons. Everything else I can just as long as my toes are covered. I have two pair of men’s Skechers flip flops that are very comfortable. That’s probably what I’ll use this summers as well .

hi you can get proper men's shoes and boots, they are expensive but definitely worth it. One you get plantar fasciitis it usually comes back. Hope you soon recover.

God, Waggy don’t tell me it’s possible for it to return. I feel like I’ve been through hell now having to stay off of it with my crutches.

Waggy I looked into those fit flops you were talking about. I looked at them on amazon. I have to tell ya they’re not very stylish from what I’m seeing . I wore my Skechers flip flops to the store today to get some groceries. They did fine but the hard floor made the pain worse. I’ve been trying to do without the crutches today as much as possible but I don’t think I’m going to make it through the evening do to the pain I’m feel more now . So that will force me to get back on crutches for the rest of the night. Witch I don’t want to do but at this point I’m not having any choice but to get back on the crutches . Did with the splint last night do to after awhile my toes get a burning sensation after awhile. Don’t know why though.

hi I know they are not as stylish as you would like but if you got a pair just to wear in the house it should help you. Sorry to hear about your poor feet it's a horrible thing to go through I know. But honestly just get a pair to wear indoors they will make a difference x

My wife Heather has Planters Fasciitis, her doctor didn't tell her about any night time splint. Heather soaks her feet in Epsom Salts as it draws out the toxins, and it's working very well

Thanks for letting me know. I’ll have to try that. Because I’m tired of having to be on crutches do to this . I can’t do anything when I’m on my crutches. Thanks again.

No kidding, I'm an amputee as I had my share of falling on those things. I'm 6'-2" and it's a long way down, I have a prosthetic leg now and grateful in walking again. I'm Ken and I will pray over you for complete healing, nobody needs to suffer but we all are going through something in our life. I'm hoping for the best for you JD, Lord Jesus I ask for your healing touch over JD. Heal this ongoing burden that he has suffered so he can get on with his life, in Jesus name. Amen

Thanks Ken it is rough having to go through the pain that this has caused me. Trying to guess what’s the best thing to do as for the pain . Had to go into the post office this evening after I got off of work and after being on my foot for eight hours it forces me to put my crutches back to use . So when I went into the post office it took all the energy I had being on crutches to get in there and back out. If I can this weekend I’m going to stay off of it as much as I can. I find just standing on it a little while on the worse days will force me to be on crutches a good part of my day. I’m wondering if it’s more than just planters fasciitis that’s going on with my foot. Do to the fact I was nothing earlier today that it feels sore on top of my foot now. Probably the best thing to do is to request to have it xrayed . It may need to be casted for awhile I don’t know . Only an X-ray could probably tell . Jason

Ah man, I feel for ya bro. Pain sucks, Heather said to soak your feet in epsom salts mixed with warm/hot water 43-44 Celsius 109-111 Fahrenheit or whatever you can handle close to that for 30 minutes twice a day. We all have our issues but if can't walk very well that's the worst, we need our legs and feet. I'm praying for a miracle for you brother, it's the best I can do. I hope and pray the Lord guides the doctor to find the cause and lay on his heart the cure, in Jesus name. Ken
