I have heard that injections in the knee are very successful and the pain practically disappears. However, sorry this is all doom and gloom - I had a very painful injection in my hip last November and I was pain-free for all of two weeks. Consultant has decided I will have to go for a hip replacement op in October. Hope you have better luck with the injections!! x

I too had injections of coratison in my back. I don't want to discouraage you but in my case they did not help. But each person is different, so you might be lucky. But any consultant will tell you that injections only last for a while. The benefit is that you might be off painkillers for a while. Any relief is good but please keep on doing excercises at the same time if you can.
