Welcome to the forum and thank you for posting here. My name’s Jenny, I’m one of the peer support coordinators at APP and had postpartum psychosis after my first son was born in 2012.
I’m sorry to read about your mental health difficulties and the experiences you’ve had since having your baby, I do hope you’re doing ok and have lots of support around you to lean on.
It must be very hard being apart from your daughter. I hope your next court hearing goes well and that she’s back home with you soon.
I hope you find it helpful to connect with others here. It’s a lovely community 💜
Take really good care and thank you again for reaching out here.
I am so sorry that your child has been taken away by the authority.
When I was so poorly in 2010, my partner was checked by social services, which must have been such a scary time for him. I was in the process of being sectioned. My partner had to be my full time carer initially for 6 months until re-integrating back to work.
Our son is now 14, I do not remember the first year after giving birth and just put together puzzle pieces, with what has been explained by my partner gradually and eventually reading my MH file.
I was diagnosed with BP1 in 2018, but knew that I must have been always bipolar since I was a teenager. I am interested how a diagnosis can change from BP1 to BPD after 15 yrs. My hospital experience was "unreasonable" on many levels and my partner and I suffered PTS.
I am from Germany, too and you may want to private chat.
Take good care and hope everything will work out. x
