Feel so low
Sorry to hear that you're feeling so down. Although it may be scary, sometimes hospitalisation is the best option for a more speedy recovery. Are there any Mother and Baby Units close to where you live? These are designed specifically for postnatal mental health care.
I would strongly suggest you be completely honest with your Dr. They can change your dose or medication so that you feel better.
By the way this forum is for postnatal psychosis which is quite different from pnd. Although many people on here went on to develop pnd afterwards.
I hope you get the help you need soon so that you can better enjoy your baby.
I would second Bronsyd - utter honesty is the best policy, and you would be amazed that they won't hospitalise people as much as you would think. And they will always prefer to keep you with the baby, where possible. Keep talking with the Drs, they can offer counselling, and perhaps adjust your medication, it's is a gradual process as medication affects different people in different ways, so treatment is always a bit hit and miss. I hope you do feel better soon.
