Does anybody else suffer with a racing heart and anxiety in the middle of the night, after drinking alcohol???

Yes, although I can have this without having had a drink for days or weeks. It's quiet common to wake in the fight or flight mode and also quiet annoying.

But not something to worry about. I would recommend avoid large amounts of alcohol however as this won't help with any anxiety related issue.

Thanks TeamDB

I can see I'm going to need to curb alcohol pretty much.

If it helps so be it.

I certainly don't rule it out completely but I do recognise that it's not something that helps.

In small quantities the negative effects are reduced.

Hi, I don't wake up in the night but I do feel anxious the next day, even more so than normal. In fact if I go out on a 'bender' I tend to suffer really badly with my anxiety for a couple of weeks after!! X
