I started taking Sertraline 2 days ago and my anxiety is worse than ever. I feel like there's a constant weight on my chest, my heart rate is up and I'm being sick/going to the toilet every time I try to eat.
I've been told by a colleague that I will feel better after a couple of weeks but if I feel like this constantly for 2/3 weeks, I don't think I'm going to cope.
Has anyone else experienced these side effects? If so, can you give me an idea of how long it lasts and how you managed it?
Huge thanks! x

Throwing up is a nasty side effect .i was on Sertraline a few years ago , I stopped because I was throwing up 3 or 4 time’s every morning . Worth seeing if the doctor has sertraline slow release tabs .
My son who is 40 takes Sertraline, he never had side effects but I hear that different drugs affect people in different ways. I understand when you say if you have to suffer another 2/3 weeks feeling dreadful. All I can advise is see if you feel any different after a week, if you still feel I'll consult your GP again maybe try something different. Do hope you are better soon, regards Helen
