I had the thought of tapering off my medication recently and told my doctor of email about it and he suggested i stay on it. I have not stopped my dose and instead sent this message to my doctor.

Hi,

So i decided not to stop the medication at the moment. I would like to schedule an appointment with Daniel for the 1st of November for an in person follow-up and talk with him about how things are and my outlook going forward with medication etc. Will continue to take the 40mg dose every night. Please get back to me if we can make this happen. I would like an 11 am if possible.

-Thanks

They are happy to write a script for SSRI s but they never tell.you it will change your brain and it may be difficult to withdraw from

Approx 50% of people will have withdrawal symptoms and approx 50% of those will experience severe withdrawal symptoms

I think that's the best way to handle it. Get an appointment, go in and discuss coming off. It's your option to come off. What you want is a safe way to taper off.

Good luck
