Hello guys,
My GP had upped my dose of Sertraline from 50gm to 100gm.
Does that mean I will experience another two weeks of side effects with the new dose of 100 gm?
Cheers y'all

There is a chance of side effects whenever a medication dose is increased. There are things you can do to help decrease it if you start to have certain side effects, but what might help depends on the side effect you are having. Regardless, it will most likely take around 2 weeks for your body to get used to the new higher dose and side effects can decrease on their own as your body adjusts. Hope it’s an easy transition for you 🌷

I forgot to ask my GP this question today.
I appreciate your response.
I was expecting minor side effects but I will have to go through it another two weeks.
Thanks again

What side effects are you worried about?
I’ve been on 200 mg of Sertraline for years and haven’t had any noticeable side effects. I was on Paxil before that and it made me nauseous and dizzy. Everyone has a different reaction to medication. As far as your side effects go they make go away, stay the same, change or get worse. If they change or get worse speak to your doctor right away as they may decide to switch medication.
I hope this helps.
