Atarax

I was prescribed atarax. Anyone familiar with this? Im terrified of medicine by the way.

Yes i take 10mg whenever i feel like or although felt I've been taking like 30mg. What are you taking? I take it for anxiety. It makes me tired, but nothing strong

I waa prescribed 25 mg. So you state that it only makes you tired? Does it have any side affects? Does it work quickly?

It’s used for many things, including itching and anxiety. It’s pretty mild as far as anxiety meds go, but it can cause drowsiness so be aware of that.

There are many of us on this forum who are afraid to take medications.

When some of us are afraid to take a new pill, but we know we have to try something, some of us just take a half to start.

It is an older drug, it is an antihistamine.

For me it works in about half an hour full effects in about an hour. I get tired. I was on 25mg and i couldnt drive on it. Lasts anywhere from 4-8 hours, from what they say but it really is only about 1-2for me.
