Bowels!

Anyone want to talk about their bowel habits when they are anxious. I don't mind starting the conversation! My bowels are terrible when I get the anxiety or depression. In fact it is a good sign that it is actually happening to me; I'm getting poorly with my condition. It is no surprise to you all I'm sure. I get my sensations moving all though my body, arms and legs which is very weird and strange and feels awful. I need to be toilets incase I need to go quickly. It is a feeling that stays with me for days sometimes. Anybody want to share their stories to know I am not alone?!!!

Oh boy...you definitely aren't alone! I'm dealing with the same thing now. After a few very stressful months this spring buying a house and moving, my anxiety came back with a vengeance. Anxiety that's caused stomach/abdominal issues and had me imagining the worse. I've gone from normal to constipated to loose and feeling weird all over. I have gastritis and GERD that flare up when it gets bad and have been dealing with that. Dr ran blood work and all normal. Doesn't make how you feel go away though. You just have to take it a day at a time. We're in this together!

Hey black dog, I get the same way, my nerves get to my stomach and yes I'm right in the bathroom, my mom was the same. If it's getting to the point where you are dehydrating or loosing much needed vitamins, I hope very much you make an appointment there is help. My friend is the same way, it is very common and you are not alone. It's our nerves. My stomach starts feeling like I all of a sudden drank ten cups of coffee very shaky. Good luck to you

Thankyou but it's ok I don't need to make an appointment I have had it for years now! Just get used to it. It's just horrible and thought that this is probably one symptom I hate and gets frustrating.

You are defniitely not alone. I had a very stressful time over a 4 or 5 month period, and then the anxiety kicked it which started daily diarrhea. I wake up and immediately feel anxious and have to run to the bathroom. This has been going on for months now. Have been to doctor and all test so far are coming back normal. It probably is just anxiety causing this, but because of my health anxiety, I am believing the worst.
