Bladder
Hi trees2357
Are you sure your bladder soreness is from anxiety? I've had sever anxiety with many symptoms but never this one nor have I ever heard of it. But perhaps you've had it before and know it's from anxiety. How are you feeling now? Maybe a call to Dr would do some good?
Yeah when I was in my twenties i had so much bladder pain but no infection. I went through all sorts of tests and they found nothing. Once there was even blood. I was getting spasms So I took time off from work and it went. Then I figured out it was anxiety. So every time my bladder would hurt I knew it was anxiety. I would take a klonopin and it would go away. But this time 5 years ago it took away the pain but I was left with fear. Now I'm not sure if it's an infection or anxiety. That's why I'm afraid to go off klonopin because I'm afraid pain will be worse.
My bladder hurts again today
Hello Trees2357,
I agree with Jamie2018. I’ve never heard of having your bladder hurt from anxiety. But anxiety can cause all kinds of things. Bladder infections are very common and easy to treat if they are caught early. It would probably be a good idea for you consult a dr on this one.
Wishing you love and peace.
I know when I had a bladder infection it burned when I peed do you get that burning or have a fever?
I have bladder spasms that feel the same way. It's miserable. Drink lots and lots of water, try to urinate at least every couple of hours and go to your doctor. There are medications available to prevent the bladder from spasming. The reason the Klonopin helps is because it relaxes your nervous system and therefore your entire body. You don't have to suffer with it. One of the medications available is called Dettol if you'd like to research more.
Thank you so much. What causes your spasms
They've never been able to pinpoint a cause unfortunately. They just say it could be hormonal, genetic, or stress. The main thing is to keep tabs on any infection. I've learned that sometimes the quick "dip" tests they do in office don't always show infection. Ask for them to send it for a culture, which takes 3 days. No only will that show any bacteria but they'll also be able to pinpoint exactly which antibiotic will kill the infection.
Right now, I'm not having as many spasms anymore. It seems to fluctuate, but when they do, I take a muscle relaxant that works best for me. It takes some trial and error to figure out how to stop them but once you do, it's so worth it.
Definitely go get checked out. I find that my gynecologist helped me much more than my primary care doctor. A urologist would be the very best though, I'd imagine.
The klonopin doesn't work anymore. I've been on it too long.
It's hurting again today
Hi Trees no relief from bladder pain? Do you think it's from anxiety? I scrolled through your posts yesterday and feel so bad for you. You've been having a horrible time for so long! I have a gut feeling you feel like your being pulled in different directions by your husband and your doctors? Correct me if I'm wrong please. I know it's dam near impossible to think clearly and know what is the right thing to do when your in this distressed state especially when your surrounded by people who truly don't understand what your going through but you have got to try with all your might to stand on your own 2 feet and demand help! In other words put your big girl panties on ha ha no seriously it sounds like you have nobody to support you and what you need is someone who understands and cares about your needs to take you by the hand and bring you to a good mental health physician. You need a mental health fairy! Too bad there isn't such a thing! So take some big breaths and decide you are gonna have to make some phone calls to get a good physcharists and start your journey to getting better. It's difficult I know finding a Dr. They either don't take your insurance or don't take new patients or no openings for months. But do whatever you have to do to get good help. Make it your number 1 priority. Worry about yourself and nothing else. Without you being well your not very good at taking care of others right? So take the weekend to plan your strategy and start Monday go to the hospital even and tell them you despertly need help for depression and anxiety and all you pains in ribs, hips, back, bladder.if you can't drive or get a ride call a taxi, hitch a ride or even call 911 and tell them you suicidal even if your not. I know your not super woman but can you pretend you are just long enough to get help? I know you can do it and others here will be cheering you on! Don't know if I've helped at all or this is stupid post of mine but at the very least maybe it's distracted you for a moment. I really feel sad for you and would so much like to see you better. I think you live in PA? I'm in the northeast not far from you. You will be on my mind.
My doctor educated me about a new bladder disease they’re just not identifying... it’s almost like an irritable bladder syndrome. Certain things cause inflammation ... soda and caffeine were two I remember off hand. When anxiety hits... sometimes our bodies sabotage our weakest area. Stress can cause inflammation in almost anything anywhere. I can’t remeber what she called the disease though!
The convo came up because I had blood in my urine for no known cause. Nothing was pin pointed but SOMETHING was obviously showing through as an issue.
Thanks
