I was given Lyrica to take about 14 days ago for anxiety. My doctor first put me on 75mgs twice a day. I felt like I was having strokes on them as my balance was completely off, and I was so spaced out and like a high feeling.
So he reduced my dose to 50mg twice a day. I still get the off balance but I think its getting better. I stay at this dose for two weeks, then go to 50mgs in the morning and 100mgs at night. Which petrifies me.
My anxiety seems to be a bit better, but please could someone tell me if these side effects go?
Thanks

I wish I had an answer but I do not. If it were me, I would call the doctor that ordered the medication or maybe ask my pharmacist. The pharmacist is required to provide you info on any new medication you are taking (I have to sign something that says I was offered that help but did not need it). Maybe you went on too high of a dose too quickly? Good luck.
Hi, Yes they are side effects, no doubt. This medicine is for seizures and drs are prescribing it more and more for anxiety. I was put on it for fibomyalgia! It is very addictive. Please don't stop taking it without tapering the dose slowly. There is a group called Lyrics survivers on Facebook, its worth a look. I don't want to worry you,but you should know about what your taking. But you will get side effects with this medicine. X
