It’s been awhile since I had a very extra jumpy moment trying to fall asleep . I was just falling asleep & I jumped out of my sleep . It left me shaking so now I’m laying here about to drink some water & I guess Stay Up Until I’m not scared to doze back off 😔

Hi BetterDays14, No need to stay up when your body so needs and wants sleep in order to regenerate your muscles and nervous system. Jumping out of a deep sleep is nothing more than over sensitized nervous system due to the stress of daily anxiety. It is not dangerous by any means. It's a way of your body reacting to the over tensed muscles. The better thing to do is to listen to a tape using Visualization and Affirmations. It will help quiet your mind and in return, your body as well. Deep breathe while listening and you will probably be asleep before the tape is finished. A deep restful sleep because you are more calm and at peace.
Wishing you a quieter and restful rest of the night. Goodnight BetterDays, sleep well. xx
Thanks I appreciate that .... this hasn’t happened in a little while ... but I’m still learning how to deal with anxiety.
It use to happen to me every time I would get into a restful sleep whether at night
or taking a nap. I no longer get that since using meditation and deep breathing in calming my mind before I fall asleep at night as well as waking up in the morning to calm the morning anxiety. It has helped me. I hope you eventually find what works for you since each one of us responds differently. Wishing you peace & calm. xx
