Agoraphobia and anxiety: I go back to school... - Anxiety Support
Agoraphobia and anxiety
I struggled with my anxiety when I was in school. I'm now moving onto college this September.
Some ways that I coped was keeping just a simple book. I would write how I was feeling and just do this whenever I felt anxious. I also had appointments with a welfare officer, I would speak to her every week and would return when needed. It was kind of like therapy but just in school.
The best thing to do is to just tell yourself you will graduate. You won't let it beat you and you'll do it
Thank you, I will try. I'm just scared of getting dizzy and not being able to leave if I need to and easily... Is the fear.
I also suffered from dizziness and I would just relax until it passed. The more you worry about it, the worse it'll be.
I'm 16 and have had anxiety for only 2 years. It will get better You will have bad days and good days. I spent most of my last 2 years suffering with anxiety.
You'll get through it. There are many ways to help with anxiety, you just need to find the perfect one for you.
Try to imagine yourself some where else, and most of all take deep breaths and try to relax. Keep telling yourself, these are just people, nothing and no one is going to hurt me. Go outside if you have to and relax for a few minutes.
