Side effects of escitalopram

I am on esciitalopram and have been for 7 weeks I don't really notice any difference but others do problem is a side effect very dry mouth has anyone experienced this I was wondering if I should change t o another med. U think the doc is sick of me cause I keep going t him with health problems.

I've taken escitalopram for years. It has been very helpful for me. Just make sure you get the dosage right. According to my Dr. the therapeutic dose is 10mg. Some think escitalopram is not quite as effective at that dose compared to name brand Lexapro. Your Dr. could bump it up to 15 mg, but remember any modification takes over a week to start being effective. Good luck.

Did you get any side effects like dry mouth and bad taste in your mouth?

That has not been my experience. My two complaints would be increased perspiration. And yawning.
