Lump on my gum....

Suffer with health anixoty found lump on my gum , tooth little bit sensitive,but me jumping gun again thinking more...hate anxiety

I know you can't help worrying but you ned to remind yourself that rarely will this be a serious condition. Do you have a good dentist that you can trust? If so I would recomend making an appointmant or at least talking to one. If this is not feasible would it be useful to take some mouth lozenges as it maybe just an ulcer. They can be very painful.

Sound stupid. I googled it and it came up with horror stories. Think I'm just having bad day

It could be just a little ulcer or maybe & you can do this without noticing have cut you gum just very slightly when you have been eating , or even something to hot can cause it

I have had lumps come up many times , they have gone back down again

Try Rinsing with salt water , make sure the water is of tepid temp & a teaspoon or two of salt , rinse it round the gum & spit it out , do it twice or three times a day for a couple of days & it hopefully will settle

hi jojo, why why is right, could be a little bit of infection there, warm salt water a few times a day should take of it, if it does"nt pop into the dentist to check it out, am sure will be fine tho. xx

i so relate to you, I fell over the other day and banged my head at the back and was fine but shaky when i got up but the next day i had a sore neck so i decided i had something terribly wrong with my lymph glands and was thinking surgery, great big cut in neck etc etc. then later in the evening i remembered that when i fell i would of wrenched my neck back and

thats why it was hurting so much, oh dear what am i like. I'm sure your lump will be an ulcer

I get them sometimes and can be quite a lump and painful and they also make all my teeth ache so give it time and it will disappear and leave you alone. sending you a gentle hug not wanting to hurt your mouth x

I noticed a lump on my gum about two years ago. I worried about it for a while until another health anxiety took its place.

I've been to the dentist at least four times since I found it and he's never said a word about it, and it's still there. Maybe it was always there and my health obsessed mind just found it - who knows.

So been to dentist,have infection on the gum,so have amoxicillin .

Oh I hope that has put your mind at rest , thats quite common & thats what they normally give you & it will clear it up

HA can make us worry not just over big things but small things to , there is no need to be sorry , well not on here as we all understand

As time goes on you will learn to deal with this , keep talking & people will help & give good advise

I should have had a look before I replied but have you seen your GP about how you feel & getting some help as counselling can be very good
