Lost my voice to overdose of chemo for cancer left me very depressed and anxious always loved communicating

Need advice on how to handle this situation, spend sixteen years caring for husband he passed away and I was diagnosed with cancer,

I remember you posting the other day & commented what an awful lot you have been through & it no suprise you are suffering with anxiety , I am so sorry about your loss & how the chemo has left you

Are you getting any support from your GP , I do hope so , if not I would certainly explain to them how you are feeling , I am sure they will understand & offer maybe some counselling , as you could benefit from this , I would think

People do understand on here what anxiety is like

I try to stay in the day & deal with today only , if I think to far behind or infront , my anxiety gets worse

Keep posting , the more we get to no you , people will give suggestions how they get through each day

I can imagine , it cant be easy at all

A lot with anxiety get these insecure thoughts , its not easy , but if we can try & accept these thoughts are our anxiety & they will not harm us , & the more we fear them the more anxiety we will feel , it does help over time to help them fade away , I no its not easy , but with practise , it does get better

Keep posting on here , it really does help

Hi.

It must be hell not being able to speak when your used talking, but on this site your never alone or far from someone willing to chat, they are all so helpful and caring and often giving very good advice. For an anxiety forum they are also a very humorous lot of individuals who know how to pick you up when your feeling low.

Thanks Kenny and Why why. I have an Ap on my I PAD called speak. My lovely grandson discovered this and set it up for me. I type in my message and a lovely voice speaks it,up to then , I had to write everything down. Selling my writing gear on E Bay only joking, by the way I am eighty. Even at that Age you fight for quality of life. Love REw

Of course , it doesnt matter how young (as we do have some very young members ) of even if you are more mature , each of us wants some quality of life & again I admire you for not giving up & why should you , maybe even a Birthday Card from the queen might be on the horizon , you never no

Thanks WhyWhy for the compliment, help to raise your spirits. I am also a Writer, belong to. writers group, love writing humour. I wrote last week on the Applicant,,had them crying with laughter, wish I could show it to you. By the way still have men interested in me. Three fight to sit by me at Writers Group. Still got it...........
