Hi

I have heard of them before & was once given them , but with this med fear didnt take them :o

I have heard they work , maybe do as with the other meds , try one a night at a time & if you dont like the way they make you feel , you dont have to take any more

Hope some one that is or has taken them might help you more

Yes indeed I have taken them occasionally for years. Probably 3 months ago since the last time. I find that if I have to be awake at 4am for work, to travel to head office etc, i get anxious the night before and can't sleep.

The problem with Zopiclone is the hangover and re-bound anxiety you get.

They are so far from perfect!

I now use Xanax instead, which leaves you feeling calm the next day.

Zopiclone never fails to get you to sleep, never.... But I personally feel very weird and more anxious the next afternoon, and the effects don't wear off until the day after...

Xanax all the way!

I was encouraged to take this/similar but decided not to in the hope that, long-term, my sleep patterns would return to normal. It's taken 2 months, but it seems to be happening for me. Just something to bear in mind x

Thanks all! I did have a great sleep, but I do feel slightly anxious today. I will keep in mind that I have felt like this daily anyway. Thanks for your help :-)

I was prescribed Zopiclone last year when I was suffering with insomnia. Told emphatically that they can be addictive so was scared to take many. However my insomnia is now ok. What I do is to break one pill in half if I am having a restless night and it is just enough to get me back to sleep. I won't take one if it is after 2 am though.

I am lucky that apart from a nasty taste in my mouth when I wake up, I don't have any other side effects. I just find it reassuring to know I have a few tablets in my cabinet if insomnia strikes again. Do hopes this helps.

Hi grandma. I'm glad they help you. I took one whole and wondering whether I should try half tonight as I felt a little drowsy waking. I also read they can be addictive so am hoping I'll only need them whilst having side effects off prozac. Thanks for your advice :-) hope you are well.
