Sertraline

Hello I’m on 100 mg of Sertraline - it’s been 3 weeks at this dose. Initially increasing the dose gave me crazy anxiety which is starting to settle . I get a lot of crazy thoughts but learning to not value them all. Anyone have experience with sertraline and how long did it take . What helped you ? I’m a bit discouraged. I’m also not sure if I need to take more . I can regroup with my doctor . Hoping someone can respond .

Sorry, I haven 't taken Sertraline, but I've experienced the ups and downs of new antidepressants and I felt weird, too. For sure call your Dr. Hopefully they can reassure you. For now, try having patience with the process. Try imagining yourself as a child, and you need to let her know you're taking care of her no matter how long it takes. You are strong and trying to change and we're here to listen. 🥰

Sertraline/Zoloft can take a while to settle, sometimes even 3 months, so hang in there. I know its tough but trust me there's light at the end of the tunnel. I would not suggest to keep increasing the dose but obviously that's between you and your doctor because you have to give one does enough time to see if it works ( at least 2 months/8 weeks). I will say during this time whenever you feel better take a walk, eat something you like, watch or read something. Also take it with food and drink a lot of water.
