I find that in life there comes a time where everyone faces a battle. That is life. With my anxiety it came out of the blue. I have tried Gabapentin but the side effects were not for me. I am on a medication Plavix which xxx out every help in medication care. So many times in life I find myself in a box. Having a good friend who has been there to talk to helps. Sometime I understand that a medication can be added in a low dose to help. And like everything it takes time, BrodyTexas

it can also be something as simple as journaling or writing down your thoughts...just make sure that you are taking care of you

yes I have, and yes it does...At the very least it helps me get my thoughts out there and helps me somewhat organize the chaos that is my brain activity....whether or not you do anything with it is completely your choice...but I know that I am better at self expression if i write it down 1st

it is funny how an incident can set anxiety off. My wife and I went to visit in Houston. She got lost and we were going in circles for 25 minutes. So here comes an anxiety panic attack. so later when anxiety seemed to hit I started drinking an 16 oz of cold water and that got it under control. I also take gabapentin and that helped my anxiety but for me the side effects of the medication were too much, Sometime life throws you a curve but there must be a medication after careful review to take to slow down your situation

I am currently on Prozac for the depression/anxiety/PTSD. It helps...but I am constantly thrown into my anxiety/ptsd because of my chosen profession. I'm hoping that when I retire in August that my anxiety level will change because I won't be exposed to the world I am in. Also take trazodone for sleep as my sleep pattern is a train wreck. For you I'd say keep trying different meds or things until you find something that helps
