searching for community

so I recently posted a comment about not being able to find groups that addressed some of the things I wanted to address. I did contact the hu site and they suggested looking through other groups to see if they met my needs (unfortunately there aren’t any that are applicable in my case). I was also told that if I was affiliated with an organization or non profit I could contact hu to look into starting a new group. Unfortunately, I’m not currently affiliated with any organizations (#unemployedclinicalsocialworker). However- kenster1 made a great suggestion, about tagging the communities your looking to connect to in what you post on forums to hopefully attract others with similar concerns/interests (although maybe specific hashtags should be universalized so that those interested in those communities could easily find them). Also, anyone out there affiliated with an organization could start a new group (I’ve seen interests in forums addressing the unique concerns of people within the lgtbqia community, mental health professionals dealing with their own mental health issues, and agoraphobia)— so if there’s anyone that fits that bill and is willing to start any new groups, that’d be awesome!!! #lgtbq #mentalhealthprofessional #agoriphobia #awareness #community #newgroups

wait, it occurs to me that there's an org up here in Canada called Pink Triangle Services... there has to be a chapter or similar org in the States. Perhaps they might be able to help you out in getting a space together or the word out. I know in my province there's a mental health association that deals specifically with medical and mental health professionals, but I can't find the name :/ Sorry, not much of a help here :\
