Our muscles work together to do lots of things in our body. They also absorb & respond to tensions and feelings which I think is happening here.
You can see this for yourself by tightening the muscles in any part of your body and then watching how your feelings change as a result of the tightening.
To bring about positive change we need to work both sides - to release physical side and our negative thinking about it.
This is much easier said than done. It's called mindfulness.
If you are stuck in any way, you may need to do this in guided therapy for a session or two. It's a valuable tool for maintaining our mental health.
