one thing a day, something that made or makes you happy. write it down. next day do it again. it’s ok if it’s the same thing. it’s reinforcing not repetitive. keep going. Don’t quit. wear a hard hat if you have to, falling debris from things collapsing, it’s everywhere.
Greetings, especially as you are new, I would respectfully request that you consider changing your name. Although I have also struggled with weight my whole life, I try, even when I'm stuck in the abyss and obese according to the body mass index, to not think of myself as obese. The same for darkness. I have read and learned enough about nutrition to know that I understand very little, but one thing I know and believe is that the Standard American Diet is sad and makes people unhappy. Unprocessed food, especially local and organic food, provides nourishment to the body and mind. I have listened to fearless motivation songs/mantras too much on Spotify, but the lyrics to their song I Am resonates: "The 2 most powerful words in the English language are I AM. Because what comes after I AM will shape your life. What you SPEAK after I AM… What you BELIEVE after I AM… will control your decisions and shape your life. I am powerful! Whatever I want to achieve I believe that I am capable It’s all attainable… and what you speak after the words I am… will shape you. Those words will really make or break you. So be careful what you’re saying every day too Don’t let the negativity come in and take you Stay strong and positive and you will make a breakthrough." Also, I wanted to thank you, even though I have felt overweight and depressed for weeks and have been making excuses for weeks, I am going to finally get out of bed and go for a walk right now.
I am in a similar place as you right now. People on this site really help with advice. Are you getting any help or exploring options to get help? Take one day at a time, learn to forgive yourself, and show yourself some grace. I'm trying to do the same. Someone else told me to relax and breathe. Simple but I find I'm doing this a hundred times a day, and it helps a little each time. Someone else said 1) wake up 2) survive the day 3) go to sleep. Eventually you will find a way to keep on.
