Mom had one when we were little. Disappeared as soon as the family could afford it!🤣🤣🤣🤣

They were fit in them days, not like today.

I bet it would have been great to make pasta, tortillas or crepes.

Can you imagine how long a piece of clothing from Walmart would have lasted just for one time through those ringers. Clothes took a beating back then, but were sturdy enough to take it.

That’s for sure. We had fewer clothes but they were made to last! No cheesy imports. Lots of wool skirts and cotton sweaters in the winter along with knee socks and penny loafers.

Oh so right and my sisters hand me downs lasted much longer than I wanted them to. lol But they looked brand new with my moms sewing skills on a dinosaur singer sewing machine. I still have it.

I have my mom’s Singer featherweight too. Hadto see a bunch of felt stuff for work. My fancy machine couldn’t take it but my 70 year old Singer breezed through it! Pretty telling!

Very telling…that’s a good one. Mine only sews a straight line, but it’s a very straight line.

Yep this one is straight line too. Does have a few attachments tho. It’s about 70 years old. Learned to sew on it

That’s about how old mine is, too. It’s in a wooden case and it’s so heavy it’d crush my table.
