I am right here with you! Day 5 agitation and other weird stuff and I just want to scream. Its taking everything I got to ride it out. But I am not going to give up and let this anxiety get the best of me. Just have to keep fighting even when I am crumbling. WE GOT THIS

Hi Anxiety07, how long have you been on your medication?

The usual length of time it takes for the antidepressant to reach full

efficacy is between 4-6 weeks. That is also depending if the dosage

has been increased during that time. Work with your prescribing physician

as to side effects and dosage. Never give up, this just may be the key to your

success. Wishing you well :) xx

Hi Anxiety07, since I am not a doctor, I can't give you a definitive answer

but please let your doctor know of the side effects. It doesn't really surprise

me though in that you are feeling the effects of the adjustment again.

I wish you well. :) xx

A little over 2 decades ago I was on 20+ (no joke) different meds.

Back then there wasn't a DNA med testing test, so if one didn't work out, you just had to try the next. (If the DNA test was available back then I probably would have taken it)

.

But my point, (and I guess if there was anything positive during my time with all those meds) is that they all don't work the same way. They definitively act differently, and some work better than others.

But if one doesn't seem to be doing anything, it's definitely not going to be like that with all of them.

You just need to (hopefully) find the right one that works for you. :)

this was an incredibly helpful comment. It’s east to think nothing will work if one or two meds don’t. Thanks for the insight :)
