Hi Jayde, as long as you've had your doctor address it, it most likelyis coming from the tenseness of anxiety. I use to get that as well. (including the ears)
I was explained by my physical therapist in how the muscles at the back of the throat
can contract and feel like something is there. Because there are muscles down the
ear canals, we can experience that same tight feeling.
What I would do at the time, is put a hot pack on the upper part of my neck and back.
Gently massage the front of the throat to relax those muscles. With your thumbs, place
them in the upper part of your earlobes and gentle pull up. You should feel the ears clear
and start to relax.
Listening to a quiet relaxation video can help calm your mind/body connection.
But this cannot be a one time thing, we must practice relaxation each and every
day. Usually within a month's time, the body starts to be in relaxation mode.
Try not to focus or worry about this sensation. xx
Hi Jayde, when you say you need to tense your throat, does that mean clearing it?Trying to swallow to rid yourself of that feeling? Some anxiety symptoms go on for
an extended period of time until we no longer focus on it and then something else
is usually put in it's place.
However, seeing an Ear, Nose & Throat specialist wouldn't be out of the question.
Anything from a post nasal drip to a sinus infection might cause those symptoms.
You need to get a second opinion if it isn't getting better. My best to you in finding
