Hi. You are not alone. Many times I was "panicking about my mental health". It's kind of like your mind is trying to sabotage itself. I've been there where something got in my head and my mind took hold of it and ran wild. It's a crappy feeling to say the least. Anybody close to you dealing with a health issue? Any thing else going on that is, or may cause a big change in your life? Is there anyway to distract yourself (to try and get out of your own head?) If you're having them, something to distract you from ruminating thoughts? Journaling ? Anybody you really enjoy spending time with that won't make you feel bad or worse.

Has your Dr recommend a Therapist to other Mental Health Pro? It will pass eventually, but that can feel like it's taking forever. I know it's a crappy/horrible experience. Maybe give your reg Dr a call? Maybe he can give you something to calm your mind? Isolating could make it worse (and of course there's still Covid around). But then again, being around the wrong people can make it worse. A lot of people don't know how to handle or react to what you're going through. I wish I had more/better answers for you. Something that would bring you relief and peace of mind. Check out MHA = Mental Health America, under 'Find Help' or anything else that may help you. Hang in there.

Wow thanks for the reply! I cant concentrate on the thoughts because its like my mind is blank. Im currently seeing a psychologist so hopefully sooner than later I will get back to being me. Nothing makes the brain fog better. Luckily people like you reply and make me feel a little better! I have a loving fiance that is helping me through it.

You are certainly not alone! A lot of things that I thought I had dealt with resurfaced during Lockdown. I hid it all from friends and family and felt like I was doing OK. I wasn't and through not looking after myself I fainted and hit my head so hard I blacked out. Found by my daughter and this scared us all. I am in the UK and have to say the NHS have really helped. I've got counselling and online groups.

I over think everything and am doing CBT to try to ease this. I found being honest to friends has really helped and you find out who really listens as well! One day at a time.

😀

So the brainfog 24/7 and lack of concentration seems to be a normal anxiety symptom?

Hey KK, hang in there. I get the fog, or even "floatiness" myself sometimes. For me, that seems to come worst when I feel overwhelmed. When I read about "disassociation" I imagine that's what they're talking about. Seems pretty common. Your psychiatrist should be able to give you coping strategies. In the meantime, do look into CBT. The skills I've learned in CBT are the things that bring me back.Prayers friend.
