Magic mushrooms?

I have stopped taking my medication as of Sunday. 20 mg Fluoextine (Prozac in the US)/day. It is not working for me. I saw a programme on the BBC the other night about psilocybin (or magic mushrooms) being used to recalibrate the brains of depressed people and some of them enjoyed life for 6 months before the depression took hold again. Anyone tried it and what were the results?

I have seen quite a bit about this lately, using microdoses of hallucinogens to treat depression. It scares me bc I think I would have a "bad trip". (I grew up in the US in the 80s with the War on Drugs and got the crap scared out of me).

I think it needs to be done in a controlled setting, otherwise there actually is potential for it to go wrong. But I can understand why it would work to kind of reboot the brain. Just be cautious!

Word for word I could have written this stuff. Especially the 80s reference.
