Not much to look forward to.

A lot has happened in the past two years.

Both my sisters passed away from Cancer.

I am currently taking care of my ill mother

In another state from where I live while trying to work my full time job. On top of everything it looks like I will probably be getting a divorce. I’m trying to keep my sanity until my mother gets well. I’ve been so sad for so long. I worry I will be alone for the rest of my life. All my family is gone except my mother. I don’t see how to be happy and enjoy life again.

Any advice or suggestions? Thx for reading.

D.

Hi dtorsen. I'd like to Welcome you to this warm, safe support group.

I am truly sorry for your losses. How sad to lose your siblings.

I can't imagine what it's like for you to be out of state caring for your ill

mother and working at the same time.

A probable divorce going on at the same time is an overwhelming stressor.

You must keep your sanity. Make sure you give yourself some "me time" each

time to help with your stressors.

Personally, I use Meditation and Breathing first thing upon awakening, mid afternoon

as well as before bed. It can help regenerate both your mind and body.

I'm happy that you took a step forward in getting help with all you are going through.

Looking forward to hearing more from you. :) xx

Thx so much for your compassionate and encouraging words. Helps to brighten my day.

Hi Dtorsen, firstly I'm so sorry for the loss you've experienced, I cannot imagine what that must feel like, particularly balancing this with other stressors in your life. In terms of advice,I can only speak based on what had helped me. I would echo was agora1 said, try and make me time and thing about things you do enjoy doing that can bring even a small bit of joy. One thing I always finds makes me smile when I'm feeling low is being around animals, seeing their joy helps to remember of the good things that are around.

You are doing so amazingly well keeping going right now, something else I've found has helped me when I've been feeling really low is just focusing on getting through the next 5/10/15 minutes, and with each of those smaller parts of time you get through, you can build those up and hopefully be able to get a to a place where you feel better looking forward. If you have access to a doctor I would also suggest talking to them about how you're feeling and see if they are able to offer more tailored guidance.

Sending you all the love and well wishes in the world - I really hope it gets better for you.
