Health anxiety out of control..

I've been having a lot of health anxiety lately. I've had feelings of being weak or fatigued a lot, one of lymph nodes looks swollen, and these started when i got a cold in december. I'm hoping it's just an infection that hasn't gone away or something and not a serious disease. I've been googling my symptoms and it gives me a lot of information about different cancers. I'm just so scared and too afraid to go to the doctor because what if there is something wrong with me? Someone please help..

Hi. Googling symptoms is the worst thing you can do for yourself, especially if you're already scared. I use to scare myself without fail every time I used the symptom checker on Webmd.I would recommend going to the doctor and having them check you out. They are the ones who know your medical history, not us.

Ironically, the only way to ease the fear that something might be wrong is to have it checked out by a medical professional.

Dont bury your head in that sand...get the blood test...then if its good...work towards building your belief that you are well...itvstarts by telling yourself that you actually are.....but on the rare chance that it is something you need to address...then now is the time to fix it...not sometime when it might be too late......One further thought...do everything you can to increase two things ...you levels of Vitamin D...and Zinc......and finally look into glutathione...yep...it is THE one thing that is common in people who recover from cancer...and the MOST preventative....sulphoraphane.....Research Gerson Therapy...youtube the benefits of sulphoraphane...its the body antidote to the big C...and better than any of the other options.

The very best thing you can do for yourself is to limit the time you spend on Dr Google! He can scare you to death very quickly. Never hesitate to call for an ambulance 🚑 if you need one but if you can wiggle all your toes and fingers and the day is pretty take a brief walk. If your symptoms improve it is probably anxiety if they are worse call for help. The walk will calm your nerves and the mind will soon focus on the beauty of the world. Lately it is the only way I can get through my days. Lots of love and hugs to you. Remember to set an hour alarm on your phone to remind you Google time is over. Also if you have BP monitors pulse ox monitors etc. put them to where you can only use them once a week or of course in an emergency. Constantly checking vitals can cause drastic changes very quickly. Like the day I ended up in the ER with 181/105 BP and 147 Heart Rate. I had spent the whole day checking them as they went up and up. Two hours sitting in a room by myself no IVs no meds. Nurses checked every 25 minutes went home with 120/70 BP and 70 Heart Rate. So remember to feed your brain positive information and it should react in a positive manner. Its not easy but you will be alright. God Bless.
