Does your alarm scare you into anxiety/panic attack?

Does anyone else's alarm scare them in the morning and then feel a heavy weight on their chest after, feel scared and their heart racing that sometimes makes them have a panic attack ? This has been happening to me for almost 2 weeks now and i do not know what to do! I am not taking any medication for my anxiety and i need my alarm to wake up at 5am for work everyday.

Yes! Absolutely. I have this feeling of dread so bad it makes me feel like crying because I have to get up and go to work. Even getting ready for work overwhelms me.

Alarms tend to do that especially when u don't want to wake up. Why don't you use ur phone to wake u up and set a soft tone as an alarm so that it does not freak u up. I have set a Jazz song to wake me up and it doesn't freak me up anymore. Try it and see if maybe it the kind of alarm tone that is freaking u up. If that does not work, we'll maybe it could be a serious problem which needs a Dr.
