No dogs for me!

People say pets can help us with anxiety and depression. I'm trying to adopt a dog for months now, but because of the lockdown, the place that take care of dogs in my region is empty. The waiting list for adoption is huge, and of course, if they know the person, this person has the preference. They are even sending dogs to another country.

I mean, of course I am happy that there is no more dogs in the shelter, all of them has a forever home now, but I cant avoid to be a little bit upset that even people from other countries are getting dogs and I'm not!

It's not their fault, so many people calling asking for a dog, and they dont have time to answer, to explain, nothing. But I get upset anyway! I want a a dog so much to be my companion. I feel so lonely!

Get a kitty cat...I have a sweetheart that loves to cuddle! I wake up and she is near my head. Where do you live?

I find cats are easier to handle than dogs myself and are great pets!

I got my dog two hours drive in an other state. I’d check rescues and shelters all over to the amount you’re willing drive to get one.

I also have 2 cats, they are amazing snugglers too. I was NOT a cat person, I actually went to the shelter looking for a younger dog, came home with a cat. Have no idea how my mind changed, the cat seemed to have my personality, she’s my best buddy. You just never know.

Hope you get a companion, they are undoubtedly amazing for mental illness and not making us feel so alone. 🌺💜
